Greater Shadow

This Shadow has grown old and bold, it seethes with an ever burning hatred of life.

Vulnerability: holy

 

Shadow Talons +10 vs. PD (two attacks) - 15 negative energy damage and the target is hampered until the end of their next turn.

natural even hit: if there are shadows to meld with the Greater Shadow may automatically disengage with all current targets and move to engage another.

 

C: Wave of Darkness +10 vs. MD (1d3 nearby enemies in a group) - targets take 15 negative energy damage and become vulnerable to negative energy (hard save ends).  The Greater Shadow may use this attack once per battle, if they have not used it before they become staggered then they may make this attack as a swift action on their next turn.

 

Shadow Frenzy +10 vs. PD (three attacks) - 12 negative energy damage

natural even hit: may use a swift action to summon a Shade (up to five per Greater Shadow).

May only use Shadow Frenzy when staggered.

 

[special trigger] Embrace of the Shadow +10 vs MD - the target starts making last gasp saves as they turn into a Shadow themselves.  This is a Negative Energy attack and may be stopped by Negative Energy Resistance.  The target must be staggered

 

Flight

 

Blend With Shadow: As a creature from the plane of shadow the Greater Shadow may become two dimensional as a free action, allowing it to pass under doors and flow up walls and along ceilings etc.  The Greater Shadow may be forced out of this state by confronting it with a bright light.

 

Fear Aura: Threshold 24 hp

A character engaged with a Greater Shadow must have 24 hit points or be dazed (-4 attack) and gain no benefit from the escalation die.

 

Creature of Shadow: (Resist weapons 16+) When a weapon attack targets this creature, the attacker must roll a natural 16+ on the attack roll or it only deals half damage.
